How to Cook?
OATS PORRIDGE
Take 1/3 rd ( 40 g Apprx )Cup Svaasthya Oats, 200 ml (One medium glass) of Milk and Sugar.
Put the oats in a cooking pan and pour the milk into it. Add sugar to taste. Boil it for 3-4 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally. Serve hot. To make it even more delicious, add some freshly cut fruits and almonds. Serves one.
OATS UPMA
INGREDIENTS – 1 ½ Cup Svaasthya Oats, 1 tbsp. cooking oil, 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped tomato, 1-2 cut green chillies, 5-6 curry leaves, ½ tbsp. cumin (jeera), ½ tbsp black mustard seeds (rai), 300ml water, salt, sugar and lemon juice to taste.
RECIPE – Heat oil in a pan for 3-4 minutes. Add the cumin, mustard seeds and curry leaves followed by the onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add the chillies and tomatoes and cook further for 2-3 minutes. Add the oats and the water and mix well. Add the salt, sugar and lemon juice. Cook until the water has evaporated and the mixture is of semi-soft consistency. Remove from the stove, garnish with coriander and serve hot. Serves four to five."
